El Hierro is the smallest and most westerly island in the Canary Archipelago.
Because it lacks the long sandy beaches available on other islands, it has
been relatively untouched by tourism. El Hierro, however, is a great
place to hike and enjoy the natural beauty. The main city on El Hierro
is Valverde.
